My first language was Fortran, which IIRC allowed and ignored spaces
anywhere, right in the middle of a word. Fortunately, that didn't stick.

But my favourite language was Algol 68, which allowed spaces as a part of
the name, where other languages allow hyphens or underscores, so you could
write

amount due := agreed price * rate of exchange - customer discount;
