[xquery-talk] Too many variables message

This is obviously an product limit rather than a language limit; but I think
one ought to look at why an inexperienced user is generating 250Kb of
queries in two weeks, and ask whether there is a more economical way of
solving the problem.

Subject: [xquery-talk] Too many variables message

Someone in my group has been using XQuery for about two weeks and has made a
sizable set of queries (~250Kb.) Since I found XQuery for him, I get to
support him, yay.

Anyway, he is running into an error message that says something to the
effect of "Too Many Variables" (using the xqizx interpreter.) He is able to
control it by cutting down on the number of let statements he uses, but I
don't really know more than that. Does this sound like an interpreter
limitation or are we running up against something in the language?
