We are pleased to announce a version 3.0 of the Sedna XML database system.

New:

- Improved transaction management. Sedna now use (page-level) versioning
mechanism which provides the following benefits:
    * Read-only transaction does not conflict with any other concurrent
transactions (including write transactions)
    * Bulletproof recovery

- Support for Mac OS X 10.4 and higher (PPC/Intel)

- Many bug fixes

New third-party contributions:
- zif.sedna - Python API with support for Zope 3 by Jim Washington

- XML:DB Driver For Java by Charles Foster
  (http://www.cfoster.net/sedna/)
