[xquery-talk] datatype xs:duration

The reason is primarily because the result of

xs:duration('PT1M') + xs:duration('-PT1D')

(one month minus one day)

is not well defined. One could have defined rules for addition of 
durations that allowed some cases to succeed and made this one fail, but 
one chose not to.
